Finally a list of ATV trails located near many businesses throughout the region & a few Iron Range businesses made the list!
As I look through the list I see a handful Iron Range hotels, motels, resorts, campgrounds, trails, etc, but there are a lot that didn’t make the list. Now, I’m not sure why they didn’t, but that’s why I’m here! To HELP YOU!
If you’re planning an ATV trip to the Iron Range and need any help at all please ask me!
If our schedules gel, I’d even be willing to give you a guided ride on some of my favorite hidden trails that aren’t necessarily on the map….
Now, let’s get out and ride!
From the ATVAM office:
Hello ATVAM Members!
Did you know that many ATVAM lodging & camping business members have trail access or are very close to one? Are you making plans now to see autumn’s brilliant colors from an ATV Trail?
The following is a list of ATVAM Business Lodging/Camping Members:
The final numbers for the ATV Pull show about 125 people through the gates. That’s a great turn out and exactly what we were hoping for being it was the first time for the event. We had 29 racers total. The 0-550 class was won by a Polaris 500, 0-699 class was won by a Can-am 650, 0-1000 class was won by a Can-am 800, Side X Side class winner was a Yamaha Rhino 660, and a lady on a Can-am 500 won the powder puff class. I have a few pictures here and I’ll get everyone the link to the youtube video and a list of all the winners soon as I get it!
Everyone had a great time and lots of people said they just came to watch this year but will be back next year with their atv’s! Jim’s Sports Bar and Grill had an Awesome BBQ and beer for everyone. I think our ATV Club even gained a few members after seeing how much fun we all had with a day of ATV’s. Hope to see everyone next year! For more info please get ahold of me!
Everyone brags, “My machine has more power than yours!”
We’ll find out on Saturday!

I love how many lies it takes to put together a five minute story that’s laughable at best! These people are in the same boat as the people that thought they could sue because the COFFEE was HOT but it didn’t say so on the CUP, get over it people!!!
I invite you to read the facts from Yamaha and come to your own conclusion.
Check out the brand new Northern Traxx ATV club web site!

The forecasters were wrong with was good for us! Seems that everytime we plan something big and get a lot of people together its either 40 degrees or raining. Last Saturday they called for rain and a high of 65, it turned out great with rain over night (dust control) and 75 degrees when sunny.
The riding conditions were awesome with no dust (not very often you get that). The power lines and trails were in great shape with very little mud due to the dry weather the last month or so. We seen a couple other groups out on the trails enjoying the day ATVing on the Iron Range.
Next big ride is planned for August 15th if anyone is interested???
What a RIDE! It hasn’t been confirmed my Guiness Book officials yet but we will end up within a few machines of 1632. If my memory serves me correctly, the record to beat was 1138. So, we clearly beating the record by almost 500 machines! Last year we ended up about 50 short and then the Guiness officials disqualified 26 more, they could disqualify 50 and we’ll still smashed the record.
It’s unknown yet if the parade will be an annual event but for sure we’ll do everything we can to keep the record in Minnesota! It’s rumored already that the Kentucky Club that was the recent record holder and a Hurley, Wisconsin, club that held the record before them are gunning for us…….
It was an AWESOME RIDE in Silver Bay and I thank everyone from the Iron Range that showed up to help our cause!!! I’d to see your pictures and hear your ATV Parade stories.
Congrats to Richard “Dick” Parker of Grand Marais!
Safety has to be on the top of the list for ATV’ers. I’ve seen Youth Safety Training sessions increase on the IRON RANGE over the last couple years with no chance of slowing down. The DNR and Iron Range ATV clubs see the need and are responsing with more and more sessions available for our young riders. For more info you can contact me or the DNR website, the link to the website is below. Safe riding everyone!!
