You can bet that any site whose domain starts with "thetruthabout" is not interested in the truth. 

That isn't to say the television story is true either. People can believe anything they want. Ultimately a judge and jury will decide. Just as they did in the coffee case. As I recall, McDonalds lost that case since their coffee was in fact kept scalding hot, causing burns which most hot coffee wouldn't. 

Of course they probably had a "thetruthaboutmcdonaldscoffee" web site too where they made the point the the people who spilled it were careless.</description>
